This Saturday brings a very special occasion to Woolsey Stadium. It will mark the first King’s Invitational meet at the newly named Blackmer Track at Woolsey Stadium, named after the 50 years of service from longtime King’s coach and Athletic Director Dan Blackmer. The short ceremony will follow the meet devotional from former Seahawks player Garry Gilliam.
Former King’s Track star Curt Whitton (King’s Class of ’87) will talk about Dan’s incredible legacy followed by his daughter Rachael Blackmer-Jansen dedicating the Track to the Lord. The event starts at 12:30pm and all are invited to attend.
Below is the plaque that will forever reside at Blackmer Track at Woolsey Stadium.
